Tung Wah College’s Translational Research Centre for Digital Mental Health (TRC-DMH) successfully hosted the Digital Mental Health International Conference 2026 last week, from 16 to 18 June. Held in a hybrid format at the King’s Park Campus, the three-day conference attracted over 7,000 participants from 96 countries. Under the theme of “Maximising the Real-World Potential of Digital Mental Health”, participants explored the evidence base, implementation, and cross-cultural application of digital mental health services.

The conference focused on several timely and significant topics, including the integration of digital care pathways, biomedical engineering, empathic computing, and ethical, client-centred digital governance. It featured 8 keynote speakers and 110 presentations , providing a platform for in-depth exchange on how innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration can support the future of digital mental health services.

Professor Sally Chan, President of TWC, expressed special thanks to the 4 keynote speakers who travelled all along from the UK, New Zealand and Italy to Hong Kong to take part in the conference: Professor Giacinto Barresi from UWE Bristol, Professor Sandra Bucci from The University of Manchester, Professor Mark Bilinghurst from the University of Auckland, and Professor Andrea Gaggioli from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
