Summary
TWC’s Translational Research Centre for Digital Mental Health (TRC-DMH) signed an MOU with the Life Course Development Research Institute (LCDRI) of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) last week. Both parties aim to foster interdisciplinary research collaboration, co-organise lectures, seminars and conferences, and pool resources to develop digital solutions that advance population health and promote well-being across all stages of life.
The MOU was signed by Professor Sally Chan, President of TWC and Co-Director of TRC-DMH, and Professor Ada Fung, Director of LCDRI. The signing was witnessed by Professor Alex Chan, Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities and Co-Director of TRC-DMH, and Professor Daniel Lai, Dean and Chair Professor of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, HKBU.
After the signing ceremony, Professor Sally Chan, together with the TRC-DMH management team, led the HKBU’s LCDRI management committee and affiliated members to visit the TRC-DMH to showcase the College’s translational research achievements in digital mental health. They also toured the healthcare laboratories and teaching facilities at TWC.
TWC expects both parties to leverage each other’s strengths to effectively apply translational research outputs in enhancing public mental health across the life course.
